When the crew changes, keep that part of the tips together
Record the cash and card tips earned during each stretch of service, split each one equally between the people who worked it, and end the night with a single named sheet you can hand over.
How a night works
- 1. Start the night. Give it a name if you want one, pick the service date and the currency, and add the people who are on. The date stays the date you chose — it does not roll over at midnight.
- 2. Record a portion. One portion per stretch of service: choose who was on, enter the cash and enter the card. When somebody arrives or leaves, that is the end of one portion and the start of the next.
- 3. Read the sheet. Every person's shares added up across the whole night, cash and card kept apart, with each portion's contribution shown underneath.
Enter only the new tips for each portion — never a running total from the till. A running total is an ordinary number, and the app has no way to tell it apart from a portion's own tips. It would quietly count the earlier tips twice.

Alex opens on their own. Blake comes in for the busy stretch. Alex goes home and Blake closes. Three portions, one night, US dollars — and this is a band cropped straight out of the PDF the app generated from it.

Correct a saved amount later and the app writes a newer, clearly dated copy. Change that shared card figure to 281.00 and the night becomes 801.00 with 400.50 each. A copy you have already sent somebody does not change, and there is no in-app history to browse.
What it does, exactly
TipPortion splits each portion equally between the people you select for it. That is the whole rule. Your venue decides who is in a portion and how the money is meant to be shared; the app does the arithmetic and keeps the record.
- Cash and card are divided separately, in whole smallest units of the night's currency — cents for dollars, yen for yen, fils for dinars.
- Some splits cannot come out even. One dollar between three people is 34, 33 and 33 cents. The extra units go one each, following the order people are listed on the night, and the app says so wherever it happens.
- Each night has one currency, fixed once the first portion is saved.
- Up to 20 people and 30 portions on a night, and up to 500 saved nights. When a limit is reached the app says so and refuses — it never removes anything you saved to make room.
What it does not do
It does not calculate by hours, points, roles or percentages, and it does not work out a tip-out to other departments. It is not payroll, not tax, not a timesheet and not a till. It does not connect to a point-of-sale system, read receipts, move money, or record that anybody has been paid.
A sheet records the amounts you entered. It is not proof of payment and not an employer payroll record.
The offer
One upfront purchase for the complete app. No account, no sign-in, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no advertising and no analytics. It does not use the network at all: your saved nights stay in the app's own private storage on your iPhone, and a sheet you share goes only where you send it.
